The Pursuit Of Dreams, Skills & Clarity
Life doesn’t wait for us. We need to keep pursuing opportunities and growth.

Hello you!
So, week 10 of my 90-day challenge has come to a close, and what a marathon it was! It felt like I experienced all the emotions that Will Smith’s character experienced in that movie, ‘The Pursuit of Happyness’, which influenced the subject of today’s letter. I’ve been deep in meetings, planning, and research, focused on lining up opportunities that will help me secure a brighter future for my family.
There’s so much happening around us that we can’t control, in the world…in Nigeria. But if there’s one thing I know, it’s that I can create positive outcomes for myself and my family by pursuing growth, even in small ways.
I hate to feel disadvantaged so I’m pushing to be the best I can be for myself and my loved ones. As a mom, I can’t change the things that are happening in the country, but I can take action to improve our chances for a stable future. And that means being ambitious, driven, and constantly looking for ways to grow.
As part of my writing challenge,
I took a look back at all I’ve written over these last two months and discovered that I genuinely love writing short stories and poems. It was something I never thought I’d pursue, yet here I am, thrilled by the art of storytelling and the rhythm of poetry.
Alongside this, my passion for writing essays has grown, and I’m excited to sharpen my skills in this area as well. Writing has opened up new avenues for creativity, and I want to see where it leads.
So, this week, I started researching online courses to find one that will help me deepen these skills. I found a couple but I’m working on narrowing down my options to the best fit, one that will allow me to learn and grow while balancing everything else on my plate.
On a sage note,
I know that we’re beginning to feel the pull of taking a break as we approach the year’s end.
I do. Very much.
The busyness of this week could have easily thrown me off, but there’s so much riding on me to just keep pushing and that’s what I want to share with you. To inspire you to finish the year strong.
Stay focused on those goals. Keep your eyes on the big picture. Every meeting I took, every mistake I made, and every moment of learning and writing this week were all part of building the life I envision for my family and myself. That’s how I want you to look at whatever you’re going through at this time.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, please remember to rest. Also, remember that growth doesn’t always look like a perfectly balanced to-do list. Sometimes, it looks like a blur of meetings, a rush to meet deadlines, or even a quick lunch to refuel you.
At the end of it all, please do something nice for yourself.
Remember that:
"The challenge is not to be perfect—it is to be whole."
- Jane Fonda
Thank you for being with me on this journey; your support means more than words can say. May you be strengthened to keep pursuing growth, one day at a time. Whatever you’re chasing, know that you’re not alone. Until next week’s letter, have a productive week!
Love,
Rae.
