Is Adulting Just a Cycle of Exhaustion?
Life keeps piling things on and we just have to keep moving forward.

Yes, I know adulting is difficult but is it supposed to be this difficult? Everyday?
Week 9 of my 90-day challenge is officially behind me, and what a week it’s been! Life had so much hurdles packed into the week for me—a mountain of work deadlines and my daughter’s mid-term break, all wrapped in the usual ebb and flow of life.
But somehow, despite the whirlwind of responsibilities, I managed to stay committed to my walks and writing, carving out space for the things that matter most to me.
Makes me wonder if things always work out in the end or if my effort at creating a routine in the early days of this challenge has paid off. I can’t really say but I do know that even when life is chaotic, it’s possible to steal moments of calm and clarity for yourself if you are determined.
And determined I was this week.
Even on days when skipping my walks and writing sessions seemed like the easiest option, I pushed on, one step and one word at a time. I kept showing up because the challenge is almost over. I can’t give up now.
My biggest lesson this week was that I am great at prioritising progress over perfection.
Working mothers know that we are prone to having weeks of less ideal conditions or seamless schedules, but every day we have to showed up.
Yup! I have hacked that part of motherhood.
And I am celebrating this win because it’s easy to fall into the trap of believing that progress only counts if it’s perfect. But I am learning daily that real growth comes when we choose to keep going, even when the conditions aren’t ideal.
So, if you’re navigating a demanding season of life yourself, remember that showing up in small ways still moves you forward. It’s progress, even when it doesn’t feel grand or glamorous.
Anyway, with only a few weeks left in this 90-day journey,
I’m deeply grateful for all of you walking alongside me, offering encouragement and accountability. This challenge began as a way to build good walking and writing habits, but it has eveolved and helped me build resilience, flexibility, and self-compassion. I’m discovering that every day I invest in myself, even in the middle of life’s many demands, is a step worth celebrating.
Thank you for being here, for sharing in these reflections, and for cheering me on. Whatever challenges you’re facing in your own life,
Remember that:
"You don’t have to get it perfect. You just have to keep moving forward."

Here’s to another week of showing up, staying committed, and making room for what truly matters. Until next week’s letter, have an amazing life!
