Hold On, We're Getting Through It
From birthdays to big dreams, there’s a lot to work through and celebrate
This edition of my newsletter is brought to you by:
Hey friend, hey!
It’s week 12 of my 90-day challenge, and wow, what a week it’s been!
My daughter turned 2 this week, and as you can imagine, our home was quite busy with preparations for her celebration. Rather than host a big shindig, we decided to host a small celebration with her friends. It was a beautiful day, and I’m increasingly grateful that I get to watch her grow and hit these special milestones.
In the middle of all the busyness, the reality of how far I’ve come with my 90-day challenge kept popping into my head. Twelve weeks ago, this challenge was just an idea, a spark of motivation to shake things up and push myself. As the finish line draws near, I feel a deep sense of pride.
The goals I set out to achieve are coming together:
Writing daily has been fun and it has helped me rediscover my love for the creative process and storytelling. I experimented with everything from short stories and poems to essays, and all of these have opened my eyes to new possibilities in my craft.
Pursuing walking and wellness activities daily has boosted my physical health and given me an avenue to reflect and recharge outside of the daily stressors that make up my life as a working mum.
Another win this week?
I was able to streamline my options for the writing courses I would love to take and I’ve even registered for the first one! I’m beyond excited to start learning and further improving my writing.
And it doesn’t stop there.
As someone working in communications, I try to stay updated with the new hacks and updates in social media and digital marketing (p/s: whatever your career, you need to continuously pursue active learning). This is one of the best things that have helped me grow in my career; always being open to learning and staying updated with what’s going on in the industry. I usually try to take a course on social and digital marketing (which are the fastest-changing parts of my industry) at least once a year and there’s always something to learn.
So, in addition to the writing course, I will be taking a refresher course in digital marketing, during the Christmas break. The things we do for progress.
If there’s one thing I’d love for you to take away from my journey so far, it’s this:
Dream big, plan well, and always invest in yourself.
Life will always be hectic with work, family, and endless to-do lists. It’s on you to always take the time to reflect on where you are coming from and realign so that you don’t get off the path that leads to the life you desire.
With just one week left in this challenge,
I’m excited about the lessons I’ve learnt and the woman I’m becoming. I felt my mindset, habits, and focus get transformed through the things I did these past couple of weeks and I’m thankful that I’m seeing this through.
For following along on my journey, I hope that you’re inspired to explore your own challenges and growth journey. Whether you’re dreaming of a new career, pursuing a personal goal, or just trying to get through the chaos of life, know that every step you take is a step toward something greater.
Remember that:
"Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do."

P/s: Today’s quote bangs! I felt so much energy reading through that and I hope it fuels you to do what you need to do to keep growing.
So, here’s to growth, celebrating little wins, and the exciting times ahead!
Until next week’s letter, have an amazing week!
Love,
Rae.
