Here’s Your Blueprint for an Exciting New Year
My strategy is to plan now, be free to celebrate the festivities, and be ready to step into 2025 with confidence.

Hello there dream builder!
Can you feel it?
The year is winding down, and in just three weeks, we’ll be stepping into a fresh chapter—2025! But before the Christmas magic sweeps us into its festivities, now is the golden moment to pause, reflect, and map out the year of your dreams.
This week, I’ve been exploring one of my favourite end-of-year traditions: vision boarding. If you follow me on Instagram, you will know that I’ve mentioned it a couple of times. I’ve even bought a real whiteboard and everything.
But before you write off my excitement about vision boarding, I’d like to clarify that my vision board process is not gluing pictures on a board. No. For me, vision boarding is about creating a blueprint for the year that merges my aspirations with my reality. From finances to personal growth, I use this time to design the path to a purpose-filled year.
If you don’t create vision boards, I’d like to convince you about why this is the perfect time to start planning and how it can set you up for success.
If you are confused about why this is the best time to plan,
I get it—the excitement about the Christmas holiday is strong, and it’s easy to push planning aside. But the truth is that taking time now to plan is the best thing that you can do for your future self. It is the greatest act of self-love you can give your future self. Why? Because planning now will guarantee that:
You have the freedom to enjoy the festivities: You’ll be more excited to get into the holiday spirit with peace of mind, knowing that your 2025 is already in motion.
Your success begins early: Entering a new year without a plan is like getting on a bus without knowing where it’s going. But when you plan, it gives you clarity and direction, ensuring that your journey takes you to the place(s) that truly matter.
You can focus on the big picture: When life’s chaos hits (as it inevitably does), having a solid plan keeps your eyes fixed on your goals.
I feel like this is the perfect time to tell you to dream big.
Personally, as I sketch out my vision for 2025, I’m leaning into creating big goals that excite me and, frankly, make me a little nervous. The kinds of goals that will transform my life and shape who I am becoming. And I think that you should do the same too. You know what? I don’t just think it, I know that you should do the same thing.
Here’s why setting big goals matters:
They provide clarity: If there’s one thing you need to know about life, it’s that things that you don’t plan for will always come up. But your big goals will act as your North Star through it all, keeping you aligned with your deepest values and dreams.
They build strength: When you set big goals and start working towards them, every milestone you achieve will remind you of how capable you are, reinforcing your confidence.
They inspire growth: Setting big goals and working to achieve them challenges you to step outside your comfort zone. You know what they say about stepping out of your comfort zone. It will help you unlock levels of potential you didn’t know you had.
So, what’s that one bold goal you’ve been holding close to your heart? Is it starting a side hustle? Publishing that novel? Saving for something big? Whatever it is, let it take center stage in your 2025 plan.
Now, time to take you through my vision board ritual!
Annually, especially these past couple of years, I usually work with my best friend and a small group of other women to create our vision boards. And this year’s vision board for 2025 has me dreaming of:
Financial goals that pave the way for me and my family’s security and growth.
Career breakthroughs that align with my long-term professional ambitions.
Personal adventures that nourish my soul and strengthen my relationships.
As you can see, these are just broad dreams. To make them clearer and achievable, I build strategy into every goal:
Breaking them into manageable, actionable steps.
Setting deadlines that keep me accountable.
Allowing flexibility to adjust when life takes unexpected turns.
If you’re new to vision boarding, start simple: jot down your dreams, gather images or words that symbolize them, and arrange them in a way that energizes you. Don’t waste your time aiming for perfection, simply aim for inspiration.
Now, it’s time for you to create your roadmap for 2025.
Before the festive season pulls you away (especially if you’ll be travelling to your villages or wherever else), carve out some time to plan. Here’s a simple framework to get started:
Reflect on 2024: Celebrate your wins, learn from your challenges, and note what you’d like to carry forward.
Dream big for 2025: Think deeply about where you want to be—in your career, finances, health, and relationships. Whatever area of your life, imagine how you want those individual areas to look like and how they will come together to help you become the person you want to be.
Turn those dreams into action: Write down your goals, then break them into steps. If you’re a visual person like me, create a vision board that includes pictures to keep them alive throughout the year.
The overall goal is not writing goals for the sake of having goals but for the sake of stepping into your future with intention and confidence.
Remember that:
"A clear vision, backed by definite plans, gives you a tremendous feeling of confidence and personal power."
